CULLMAN, Ala. – On Saturday, Nov. 16 Church 212 (4690 County Road 437, Cullman) will hold a community resource event and Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless of the Cullman area. Starting at 9:30 a.m., volunteers will give out clothing and blankets, and offer free haircuts and health screenings. At noon, the church will offer a free Thanksgiving meal. - Unsheltered International will deliver free meals around Cullman County Saturday, Nov. 23. To order a meal, call 256-737-0112, ext. 180 or email tara@unsheltered.org by Saturday, Nov. 16.
- Brandin’ Iron West Point will offer a free meal to veterans and their families Monday, Nov. 25, from noon-6 p.m. Dine in or pick up at the window. Cullman County Sheriff’s deputies will also deliver meals anywhere in the county. For home delivery, call Brandin’ Iron at 256-739-1112 by Saturday, Nov. 23.
- The City of Good Hope will hold its annual community meal at the Good Hope High School lunchroom Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. “till the plates run out,” according to Mayor Jerry Bartlett. The City is planning for 1,000-1,100 meals. Dine in, or Boy Scouts will bring meals to the drive-through line. For more information, call 256-739-3757.
- Center Hill Baptist Church, 13108 County Road 747, Hanceville, will offer a community meal Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, from 1-5 p.m. Meals can be delivered within 5 miles of the church.
