MADISON, Ala. – Cullman High School’s Swim and Dive team was back in action Tuesday night at this year’s James Clemens Invitational and of the 17 schools competing, the Bearcats placed third just behind Bob Jones and James Clemens. Several Bearcat swimmers were able to obtain new personal bests, including two new individual sectional qualifying times from Anna Page and Sarah Johnson.
Cullman will be competing again at this year’s AHSAA North Sectional Meet Nov. 22 and 23 at the Huntsville Aquatics Center with a chance to advance to the state competition in Auburn.
Tuesday’s top individual finishers:
Morgan Fuller – 7th place 200-yard individual medley
Reese McNeel – 2nd place 100-yard butterfly, 4th place 50-yard freestyle
Kelly Warren – 7th place 50-yard freestyle, 9th place 100-yard freestyle
Anna Page – 6th place 500-yard freestyle, 10th place 50-yard freestyle
Brody Schaefer – 5th place 100-yard breaststroke, 10th place 50-yard freestyle
Aubrey Helms – 2nd place 100-yard butterfly
Ruby Hudson – 1st place 100-yard breaststroke, 4th place 100-yard freestyle
Madison Clements – 2nd place 100-yard backstroke, 10th place 100-yard freestyle
CJ Arnold – 4th place 100-yard backstroke, 5th place 100-yard freestyle
