CULLMAN, Ala. – 12 schools were in the field at the Cullman Wellness and Aquatic Center for this year’s Cullman Bearcat Invitational and the hosting Cullman High School Swim Team combined to finish in first place. Cullman swimmers collected 19 new individual best times and six first place finishes.
CHS Swim Coach Cory Goble was proud of the way his teams performed on Thursday and wants to create some more momentum here at the tail end of the regular season.
“I was very pleased with the competitive spirit of our group tonight and excited about our continued growth and success,” Goble said. “It is always great to win at home, especially with such an awesome group of student-athletes who have been working hard to improve both personally and as a team. This meet concluded our home meets this season, and with only two more regular season meets remaining, we hope to still snag a few more sectional times and improve current seed times going into the postseason.”
The CHS Swim Team will be back in action at the North Alabama Championship at the Huntsville Aquatics Center November 2.

Reese McNeel – 1st place 100-yard freestyle, 2nd place 100-yard butterfly
Madison Clements – 1st place 100-yard backstroke, 2nd place 200-yard individual medley
CJ Arnold – 1st place 100-yard backstroke, 3rd place 200-yard individual medley
Ruby Hudson – 2nd place 50-yard freestyle, 2nd place 100-yard breaststroke
Anna Page – 3rd place 200-yard freestyle, 3rd place 100-yard butterfly
Morgan Fuller – 3rd place 200-yard individual medley, 3rd place 100-yard backstroke
Kelly Warren – 3rd place 50-yard freestyle
Aubrey Helms – 3rd place 100-yard butterfly, 3rd place 200-yard freestyle
Brody Schaefer – 3rd place 100-yard breaststroke
