James Ray Stovers, 80, of Vinemont, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. James worked in the plastic industry for 42 years. He retired from Huntsman’s Packaging. He attended Beulah Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, wood working and traveling. He loved his dog, Blaze. He is preceded in death by his parents: Homer and Wilma Landrum Stovers; sons: Jeffrey Stovers and Michael Mann; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Billie Stovers; Daughters: Melissa Elliott (Rick Garrison) and Cindy (Eddie) Hamby; son, Barry (LeAnn) Stovers, 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers: Billy John (Sis) Stovers and Jerry (Dru) Stovers; sister-in-law, Belva (Topper) Lynn; brothers-in-law: Terry (Shirley) Jackson, Roy (Vickie) Jackson, Jessie (Barbara) Jackson and Jeffrey Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and longtime friend, John Gandy. His family will receive friends at Moss Service Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Mt.
