FAIRVIEW, Ala. – We’re getting into the thick of the 2019 cross country season as several local teams made their way to Fairview for this year’s Fairview Invitational. It was yet another good day for Holly Pond’s Camilla Chambers as she posted a 19:16.58 to win the small schools division to help the Lady Broncos collect a fifth-place finish. St. Bernard’s Madilyn Kerber came in just one spot behind Chambers with a 21:10.98 to finish second and help lead the Lady Saints to a seventh-place finish in the small schools division.
On the boys’ side, Vinemont’s Ethan Lemons posted a third-place finish in the small schools division with a time of 17:09.35 and Fairview’s Peyton Bailey placed sixth after running a 17:16.78, helping lead the Aggies to a third-place finish. St. Bernard’s Caleb Guthery worked his way into the top ten as well, finishing ninth with a time of 17:48.78 and helping lift the Saints to a second-place finish in the small schools division. Holly Pond finished 10th in the small schools division to round out the top ten and in the large schools division, West Point took home ninth-place.
