(Updated) Hartselle armed robbery suspect captured

HARTSELLE, Ala. – The Hartselle Police Department responded to a robbery at Kroger in Hartselle earlier today, roughly 10:48 a.m.

“We have received a BOLO for a new model red Hyundia and/or African American male, black shirt, jeans, camo bandana. Currently (HPD) assisting with search in downtown Hartselle,” read a statement on the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Twitter account.

At 11:29 a.m. the MCSO issued the following statement:

“Manhunt continues in Hartselle. HPD describes armed robbery suspect as B/M in 20s, tall and thin, black long-sleeve shirt, dark jeans camo bandana, facial tattoo.”

The Cullman Tribune has learned that officials with the Hartselle, Falkville and Priceville Police Departments, along with the MCSO and the Limestone Department of Corrections tracking dogs are looking for the suspect now. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is now offering assistance from the air.

If anyone spots the suspect they are encouraged to contact 911 immediately. Do not try to approach.
