Hildred Hazel Gilbert Green, 92, of Haleyville entered into rest Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at Terrace Manor.
She was born Aug. 18, 1927 to Charles and Della Gilbert.
Hildred was a member of the Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville. She attended Brilliant High School and enjoyed gardening.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Burial will be in Winston Memorial Cemetery. As per Hildred’s wishes, there will be no “formal” service.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Gail (Tim) Mayhall; sisters, Fifi Jo Farris, Virginia (James) Kelley, Carole Kelly, Sharon (James) McKinney, and Rae Rodgers; she was “Toot” to five grandchildren, Tina Williams, Lisa Clark, Susan Watson, Jennifer Green, and Kira Angelo; she was “GG” to ten great grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Allison Williams, Tim David Clark, Maya Clark, Emily Watson, Andrew Watson, Beaux Watson, Aiden Angelo, Ashton Angelo, and Ava Angelo; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Green; parents; brothers, Dwight, Dawes, and Randall Gilbert; and sister, Juanita Johnson.
