Vinemont man jailed for attempted robbery, multiple other charges

WEST POINT, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on Friday arrested Jeffrey Wayne Miller, 30, of Vinemont following a traffic stop in which Miller fled on foot.

A media release from the CCSO said deputies received a tip that Miller, who had numerous outstanding warrants, would be in West Point.  

“CCSO deputies made contact with Mr. Miller near Vinemont where deputies conducted a traffic stop on the suspect,” said the release. “He fled the vehicle on foot and eluded deputies for a short time and was located and apprehended a short time later near the Vinemont Town Hall.”

Miller was charged with attempting to elude, two counts of first-degree attempted robbery, five counts of menacing and five counts of reckless endangerment.

Miller is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $26,250 bond.
