CULLMAN, Ala. – A Cullman man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly firing a gun at a building, as well as other people, according to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Gregory Stuart Adams, 52, is charged with shooting into an occupied building or dwelling. Other charges may also be pending.

According to a media release from the CCSO, deputies responded to a civil disturbance call in Good Hope after receiving a 911 call that an individual, later identified as Adams, had shot multiple times at a motorcycle club and had fled the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies and investigators learned that Adams is a former member of the club. The CCSO said that Adams began arguing with current members Saturday night and was asked to leave.

“The members thought the suspect, Mr. Adams, had left the premises so some of them began to leave as well, then at that time they saw Mr. Adams start shooting in their direction. The members, including women and children, ran for safety and took cover until the gunshots were over,” said the release.

The CCSO said Adams arrived at the Cullman County Detention Center lobby a short time later, where he asked to speak with deputies and was seeking medical treatment for injuries he allegedly received from club members after the shooting.

Adams was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center. He has made bond.
