Funeral services for Elsa Josephine Thomas, 84, of Crane Hill will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Nick Monk officiating with interment in Valhalla Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Thomas passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019.
She was born June 29, 1935 to Alfred O’Neal and Josephine Fann Welch.
She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church. She was employed as a supervisor at Walmart Distribution for 15 years. She and her husband, William H. Thomas were married 62 years before his passing, 21 years of that Mr. Thomas serving his country in the United States Army.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Melvin O’Neal Welch; children, William O’Neal Thomas and Angel Thomas.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa (Glenn) Murray, Tracey Jo Thomas; grandchildren, Tommy (Emily) Murray, Jennifer Gail (Brandon) Kennemur, Chris Thomas, Zach Pate; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Pate, Kyle Kennemer, Cooper Kennemer, Brayden Pate; host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m.
