Dobie Pope was born on July 21, 1928 and passed away on July 3, 2019. Dovie Pope, 90 of Hanceville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 3, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leroy Pope; son, Danny “Bub” Pop; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Pope, son-in-law, Sonny Millican, 1 great grandson, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Charlotte Millican, Diane Crocker, Susie (Danny) Crocker and Carol (Randy) Phillips; sons: Terry Pope and Tristan Colfield; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends at Mt. Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from noon until 2 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Jerry Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
