Martha Louise Reid of Hayden, Alabama passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was born on April 27, 1944 to Charles and Delois Lake Adams. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fairy Roberts; brother, “Tuffy” Adams; sister-in-law, Imogene Black; and brothers-in-law: Edsal and Elzie Reid.
Mrs. Reid was a loving wife, mother and Nanny. She worked hard and made sacrifices as needed for the benefit of her family. Mrs. Reid was a loyal friend and loved any kind of flowers. She was also a big Alabama Fan. She will be missed by both her family and friends.
Martha leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Franklin Reid; daughters: Imogene (Mark) Holderfield, Tammy (Elmer “Woody”) Moyer and Kim (Jimmy Barbee) Evans; seven grandchildren: Nicole Holderfield (Josh) Best, Brooke Holderfield, Danielle Moyer, Courtney Moyer, Megan (Kelby Murphree) Evans, Erica Evans and Sadie Evans; two great grandchildren: Levi Best and Marlee Holderfield; sisters: Anne Goodwin (Ken) McCuen and Mary Reid; brother, Ed Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren by heart.
Visitation for Mrs. Reid will be Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 5-6 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home with a celebration of life service following. Rev. Harlin Haynes will be officiating the service.
