HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Students wanting to prepare for the ACT have the opportunity to take one or more ACT Preparation Workshops offered by the Wallace State Community College Alumni Association in June.
Two workshops will be held Tuesday, June 25, with students having the option to attend either one or both, depending on their needs. A session for the Math and Science components will be offered from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and a session for the English and Reading components will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Both classes will be held in Room 511 of the Bailey Center.
Each workshop cost $35. Each session will offer test-taking tips, reviews and practice tests. Students will learn strategies that could improve their test-taking approach, what to expect on test day, time management and ways to make the best guess. Handouts with practical tips and problems will be provided to each participant.
Students registering for the Math and Science portion are encouraged to bring paper, pencil and a calculator during their session. All participants may want to bring change for the vending machines during breaks.
