Donald Ray “Don” Peppers, 84, of Arley, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at his residence.
He served eight years in the United States Air Force as an Airman and Paratrooper, during which time he completed over 700 jumps. He enjoyed anything related to the military, especially aircraft. Among his hobbies were woodworking, bird watching and watching skydivers at the air field in Cullman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rosa Lee Holmes; and son, Dwayne Peppers.
His survivors include son, Donnie Peppers and wife Lori; daughter, Rhonda Peppers; grandchildren, Clay Ivey, Hannah Peppers, Emily Peppers, and Ally Peppers; great-granddaughter, Harper Peppers; and mother of his children, Loree Peppers.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, with services with military honors to follow at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Burial will take place at Bethel #1 Cemetery in Arley.
