CULLMAN, Ala. – Marine Patrol Troopers Sunday afternoon released the name of the 12-year-old victim in Saturday’s tragic boating accident on Smith Lake.
Patrol Commander Capt. Gary Buchanan issued the following statement to media statewide:
“ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers continue to investigate Saturday’s boat crash that claimed the life of 12 year old from Vinemont. Investigators say Christian Hart was killed when he was hit by a boat near the Goat Island area of Smith Lake. Hart had been tubing in the area prior to the crash.”
Hart was a student at Vinemont Middle School.
Marine Patrol Troopers continue to investigate.
