CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City School Board met for a special called meeting Thursday morning to open the bidding process for new playground equipment for the Cullman City Primary School. The new playground equipment will be added to the school’s interior playground.
Cullman City Schools Superintendent Dr. Susan Patterson explained, “We have some federal Head Start money that has to be spent by a certain time. We just found out the amount and it was over what we thought it would be, so we have to go through the bid process. This will enable us to be able to get this started and do playground work during the summer and have it completed before school starts.”
The special meeting was called to allow time for the bid process to take place and the work to begin soon after the school year ends.
Another special meeting while take place after the required 21-day bid process where the bids will be opened and the bid awarded to the lowest most responsible bidder.
