DECATUR, Ala. – The Lady Aggies and Lady Raiders advanced to sub-state after their performances in the 4A-5A Section Tournament Tuesday in which Fairview finished as the runner-up and Good Hope took home third place. The Raiders’ boys team also punched their ticket to the sub-state tournament after scoring a 392 on Monday to finish fourth.
Brileigh Roberts finished as the low medalist for the Lady Aggies after posting an 88 while Taryn Collins finished with the lowest score for the Lady Raiders with a 90. Lauren Lawson added a 92 and Lexy Gambrill shot a 101 to bring the team score to 281 for Fairview and on the Good Hope side, Julee Turner posted a 103 and Violet Owens added a 107 to give the Lady Raiders a team score of 300.
Good Hope and Fairview will both move on to the sub-state tournament at Silver Lakes in Gadsden Tuesday, May 7.
