JASPER, Ala. – The 2019 Basspro.com Central Open at Smith Lake came to a close Saturday and a pair of Cullman natives were in the mix on the final day. Jordan Wiggins finished in third place with a total weight of 41-3 and Tim Arnold hauled in 40-11 to finish sixth.
Wiggins was your day one leader at the open with a weight of 17-08 while Arnold sat outside of the top 12 with 12-15 after the first day. Wiggins fell back to second on Friday but just four ounces behind the leader while Arnold shot up the leaderboard all the way into seventh place with a two-day weight of 26-09.
Both Cullman natives performed well on Saturday and were able to stay near the top of the leaderboard after Wiggins reeled in 10-11 on the final day to secure a third-place finish and Arnold put together his best day of the tournament, weighing in at 14-02 to finish sixth.
