Cullman PD asks for public’s assistance finding missing local man

CULLMAN, Ala.- The Cullman Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in a local missing persons case.

According to Sgt. Eric Cole, on April 19, 2019, Charles Steven Smith, Jr. left the city of Cullman on his way to Biloxi, Mississippi.  The family lost contact with Smith later that afternoon during his travels. In the last known contact, Smith discussed issues with a tire but did not give his location. 

Cole said Smith is white, 42 years old, 5’10” and approximately 210 pounds.

He said the CPD is working with other agencies in an effort to locate Smith, but has been unsuccessful.

Anyone with knowledge of Smith’s travel plans or with personal knowledge of him that could assist in the case is encouraged to contact Cole at the Investigations Division of the CPD at 256-775-7170.
