Donald Blackmon, 67, of the Armstead community, was born to the late Lonnie and Annie Knighten Blackmon on April 2, 1952 and passed away on April 14, 2019.
Also preceding him in death were his brothers Super Blackmon and Coy Blackmon; sisters Ollie Bowden, Frances Glass, Brenda Gail Crowe and Katie St. John; children Randall Yancey and Brenda Yancey.
Survivors include his wife Martha Lowe Blackmon; children Denice Blackmon, Lonnie Blackmon and Anita Thomas; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; siblings Lucille Lackey and Betty Sue Hansell; a host of other beloved family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Lemley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9 a.m. until funeral time. The funeral will be held in the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Curtis Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mateo Lopez, Colton Armstrong, Toby Peace, Chris Martin, Brian Blackmon, Randy Henry and Bill Bolden; honorary pallbearers are Dan Thomas and Barry Armstrong.
