CULLMAN, Ala. – It was perfect weather Saturday morning for the inaugural Garrison Gives Hope 5K Walk and Run. R.E. Garrison Trucking, through its organization Garrison Gives Hope, hosted the event to raise money for the Stephen K. Griffith Memorial Fund, which benefits the Cullman Area Mental Health Foundation and more worthy causes.

“All proceeds go toward LOCAL FOLKS who need access to care or medications and who struggle with mental health issues here in our community,” said organizers.

In all, 67 runners and walkers came out to Sportsman Lake Park. The top finishers began crossing the finish line with times just more than 20 minutes. Others chose to walk with friends in support of the cause.
