Robin Wilbanks, 62, of Garden City, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was born April 26, 1956, to Ervin and Naomi Sims Wilbanks.
Mr. Wilbanks was a carpenter by trade. He was also a quiet and reserved man who respected the privacy of others. Robin loved life – he enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, watching NASCAR, and was an Alabama football fan.
Robin is preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Ashley Wilbanks; father, Ervin Sims; and brother, Eroy Wilbanks.
Survivors include his mother, Naomi Sims Wilbanks Partain; son, Jamie (Kristi) Wilbanks; brothers, Timothy Wilbanks, Jim Partain, Robbie Partain; sisters, Michelle Wilbanks, Cheryl Ann Tomaszewsky; four grandchildren, Madalyn, Karsen, Weston, Hunter; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilbanks will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Mark Long officiating. Burial will follow in Garden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m.
