MONTGOMERY, Ala. – There’s another local athlete headed to Montgomery for All-Star Week in July. Cold Springs Lady Eagles star Elizabeth Hill was selected to this year’s North All-Star Basketball Team on Thursday when the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association released the roster for the North-South All-Star Basketball Game.
Hill put together a phenomenal season for the Lady Eagles on their way to winning the 2A state crown and seemed to improve as the season progressed, averaging 22 points per game in the postseason.
The blue map is obviously the best trophy Hill got her hands on this season, but she racked up a lot of other hardware as well. She was named the 2A Girls State Tournament MVP and Northwest Regional Tournament MVP, and she was selected for this year’s All-County Team. Hill was the most versatile scorer for Cold Springs throughout the year and her accuracy from 3-point range helped the Lady Eagles put together the most prolific 3-point shooting offense in the history of AHSAA Girls Basketball.
She will also be joined by a familiar face on the sideline, Cold Springs Head Coach Tammy West. West was selected as of one the coaches for the North All-Star team after leading the Lady Eagles to a state championship this season, the fourth of her career.
The North-South All-Star Basketball Game will be played during All-Star Week at Alabama State University in Montgomery, but a date and time have not yet been determined.
