Funeral services for Mamie Jukes, 91, of Colony, will be Saturday, March 9 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Visitation is on Friday, March 8, 2019, 5:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with Reverend James Twilly officiating. Burial will follow in Colony Cemetery.
Born on March 4, 1928 in Hatchechubbee, Alabama and passed away on March 6, 2019 in Cullman, Alabama, Mamie is survived by a daughter, Flora (Henry) Aplin, of Columbus, Georgia. Grandchildren include Jackie Kindrex, Greta Kindrex, Vera Sherman and Tameka James. There are 12 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Kindrex.
