GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Good Hope's first home games of the season came against St. Bernard, a team it played to open its season, and the Lady Saints rolled past the Lady Raiders 7-0 while the Raiders edged out the Saints 2-1.

St. Bernard is now 2-0 after its 7-0 victory over Good Hope. Bridget Gallegos had a career day, finishing with five goals. Amelia Tafazoli and Jenny Aguilar each added a goal as well.

The combination of Olivia Brown and Mollie Wood at goalkeeper helped pitch a shutout. The Lady Saints' next game will be at home against Mars Hill Bible on Thursday, while the Lady Raiders will travel to Holly Pond Thursday.

(2-0) Good Hope 2 – (0-2) St. Bernard 1

Andres Aguilar scored two goals in the first half to help Good Hope take a 2-0 lead at the half. St. Bernard had multiple opportunities to score its first goal of the night, but the Saints couldn't quite find the back of the net. The Raiders looked to stretch their lead but missed the net on multiple chances, including Aguilar, who came very close to getting his third goal of the night.

The Saints finally got on the scoreboard with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game on a goal by Brayam Morales, but it was too little too late and Good Hope went on to take the game 2-1.

The Raiders will travel to Holly Pond on Thursday, while the Saints will head home to take on Tarrant in search of their first win of the season.
