CULLMAN – The Lady Bearcats kicked off the 2019 season at home Tuesday night with an 8-1 rout of Indian Springs. Abby Branham led the way for Cullman with three goals, Ashlei Bryant finished just behind with two goals and two assists, Emily Moss knocked in two goals and Mercy Van Dyke added a goal as well. Mimi Lunsford and Jeta Falcon added two assists and Jade Sanford finished with an assist of her own.
Cullman Head Coach Jacob Brown was pleased to see his team dominate its first opponent and wants to see it build off of this performance going forward.
“Good first game of the season,” Brown said. “I am happy with the way we played and look forward to continuing our progress.”
The Lady Bearcats will try to move to 2-0 when they host Northridge Thursday night.
