CULLMAN – Good news for this week’s Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week, Sally!  Cullman County Animal Shelter volunteer Donna Ruttkay reported that Sally was quickly adopted, so she shared with us another canine friend available for adoption.

Bobby-Socks is a boxer/bully mix who’s approximately 1 year old.  She’s a laid-back, low-energy pet with a possible future as a companion, comfort or therapy dog.  While calm, she is athletic and enjoys a little play time in the yard. She’s good on her leash and eager to please her human companions and doesn’t seem to be bothered by other animals.

According to Ruttkay, Bobby-Socks “doesn't mind being made a fuss over when putting on her winter blanket.  Yes, she's spoiled!”

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior.  Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as special needs service dogs.

Bobby-Socks’ adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).

Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
