Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dillashaw and daughter, of Pontiac, Michigan, are visiting relatives here. They were called here for the funeral of Mrs. Dillashaw’s stepfather, John Sims, of Hanceville.
Bob Anderton and Ked Curl were in Birmingham, on Tuesday night, for the Mobile and Barons ballgame.
Guests of Mrs. Eula B. Kinser and Mrs. Cora Lessley during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Storey, of Miami, Florida.
Enon and Hamby’s Chapel
Sandra Patton, of Eva, was the weekend guest of Pat Bentley.
Mr. and Mrs. Seaborn Bonner were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cicero Brown, of Cole Springs, in Morgan County, recently.
Stephen Edmondson was home from Florence for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Rob McGukin, of Bethel, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Felix McGukin, on Friday night.
Mr. Glenn Holmes and Regina returned from Washington, D.C., where they had visited Mr. and Mrs. Bob Galagher and participated in the wedding of Glenda Holmes and William Neal. The church wedding took place in Mount Ranier, Maryland. Regina was flower girl.
Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Bass were the supper guests of Mrs. Roma Neal, Linda and Buddy on Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Robin Ray and children, of Birmingham, are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sanders.
Mrs. Mollie Wright, Mrs. Era Mays, Mrs. Annie Green, Mrs. Dolly Hunt and Mary, of Arab and Mrs. Pauline Hendrix, of Gadsden, visited Mrs. Susie Kniphfer, on Saturday, September 13th.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim McConnell, of Weirton, West Virginia and Mrs. Minnie Bonner, of Hanceville, were the guests of Mrs. Kate, Bal and Eunice Eason, on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Parker Eason and Billy moved to Miami, Florida, last week.
Mrs. Idella Griffin is ill at her home.
Mrs. Ozella Hughes returned from Gadsden on Saturday, where she visited Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Hughes for several days. Jay and Gelate spent Saturday night with her.
Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Tucker and children and Mrs. Wayne Nails and children have returned from Flint, Michigan, where they visited Robert Southern and family.
Mrs. Laura Kinney is visiting her son and family in Tennessee.

Mrs. Ray Davis and Mrs. Ira Hudson, of Harmony, visited Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bryant, on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Miller and Sharon visited Mr. and Mrs. Carl Knight, Tommie and Timmie in Decatur on Sunday.
Dora Speegle, of Birmingham, spent Saturday night with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Sinyard and attended church at Prospect on Sunday.
Mrs. Darrinda Rushing was the dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Rader Smith, on Sunday.
Mrs. Dilmon Rushing and children visited Mrs. A.L. Rushing and Mrs. Darrinda Rushing on Saturday afternoon.
A.L. Rushing is installing a pump, in his well and running water into his home.
Effie Mae Sanford visited Sandra Rushing on Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. David Couch and children left on Sunday night for Detroit, Michigan, to join her husband, who is employed there. Her mother, Mrs. Effie Rushing made the trip with her.
