Obituary: Christopher Mack Robins

Christopher Mack Robins, 42, of Double Springs, passed away on January 10, 2019 in Birmingham surrounded by his family.

Christopher was born on October 8, 1976 in Haleyville. Chris was a member at Union Grove Baptist Church for 17 years where he served as a Deacon for 11 years and a Sunday School teacher for 7 years. 

He graduated Winston County High School in 1996 and went on to become a logger with his dad and uncles.  Chris loved playing with and coaching his children in softball and baseball.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church, where he will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. 

Brother Keith Hood, Brother Ronnie Melvin and Brother Ricky Robins will officiate.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Kim Robins; son, Kyle Robins; daughter, Kailey Robins; parents, Mack and Connie Robins; brother, Darrell Robins; father-in-law, Leon Sullivan; brothers-in-law, John, Sam (Sarah), Robert (Mitz); sister-in-law, Ann Sullivan; nieces, Madison, Brittany, Faith, Mary Kate and Aleah; nephews, William, Gavin, Elijah, Jeremiah and Draven. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Margaret Sullivan; and grandparents, John Lee and Idella Robins, and Lonnie Lee and Annie Bell Tucker.
