CULLMAN – Cullman City Schools’ Child Nutrition Program managers were recognized by Superintendent Dr. Susan Patterson at Monday night’s meeting of the Cullman City School Board. The city school system recently received the Alabama Best Practice Award for its Farm to School Program, in which it sources fresh produce through a program with the North Alabama Food Bank.
Recognized were Cullman High School’s Michelle Nix, Cullman Middle School’s Sabrina Yarbrough, East Elementary School’s Amy Emmert, West Elementary School’s Tina Bates and Cullman City Primary School’s Donna Avery.
Curriculum Coordinator Sharon Windham gave a brief presentation of the projected school accountability data. The official data is scheduled to be released in a report from the Alabama State Department of Education on Dec. 21. Districts will be able to review the data on Dec. 13. The projected report card score for the school system is 91.07.
The board approved changing the December payroll date from Dec. 31, 2018 to Dec. 19, 2018. The next scheduled board meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at 5 p.m.
