CULLMAN – Ally Sims, a senior at Holly Pond High School, has a giving heart and has been organizing a holiday toy drive for the past couple of years. What began as a community service project for school has become a passion for giving back to her community. This year, Ally is helping local nonprofit Saving Forgotten Warriors by collecting toys for families in the Cullman area.
Ally will have drop boxes for the toy drive at:
- The Cullman Tribune office (219 Second Ave. SE, Cullman, 35055)
- Saving Forgotten Warriors office (1528 Peachtree Lane NW, Cullman, 35058)
- Grand Pointe Pharmacy (2045 Second Ave, NW, Cullman, 35058)
- The Fillin’ Station (Located inside the Texaco Station at 201 Second Ave. NW (U.S. Highway 31) in downtown Cullman)
They will be accepting toys now through Dec. 15. Monetary donations will also be accepted and should be made payable to Saving Forgotten Warriors.
Ally stressed that the toy drive is seeking toys for kids of all ages.
