This event is especially for those children who are unable to attend traditional Halloween activities because of problems with sound, lights, or costumes or massive overcrowding. There will be no smoke machines or strobe lights, no jump scares or loud background music. Costumes are completely optional, and no child will be asked why they are not wearing one. Candy is welcome. Alternate candy-free goody bags will be available for those with dye sensitivity or food allergies.
The event will take place on the bottom portion of the city parking deck, to limit sound and light pollution without creating a totally dark environment, and to limit drive through traffic.
Families and businesses are encouraged to sign up to bring a vehicle to decorate for free.

City of Good Hope Trick or Treating and Halloween Costume Contest, 3-5 p.m.
Good Hope City Hall, 135 Municipal Drive
Bring the kids by Good Hope City Hall to Trick or Treat and enter into our Costume Contest. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. We will take photos of all the entries. We will choose the winners at 4:30pm and they will be posted on our Facebook page.

The Cullman Police Department will hold its popular Halloween Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-8 p.m. The department said there will be police cars, firetrucks a helicopter, games, music, and of course, candy.
According to Sgt. Adam Clark, the department will hand out more that 38,000 pieces of candy.
This year's event is sponsored by Merchants Bank of Alabama.
