CULLMAN – The final week of the Cullman County youth football regular season is now complete. Below are the results from the games, as well as playoff game times for next Saturday at Vinemont.
Good Hope Raiders 60 (7-1), Cullman Cyclones 0 (0-8) (Fireplug)
The Raiders finished off the regular season in dominating fashion as they shut out the Cyclones.
Cullman Cyclones 40 (8-0), Good Hope Raiders 14 (2-6) (Wee-Wee)
The Cyclones dominated the Raiders on both sides of the ball as they finished the regular season with a perfect record. Cullman will face off against the Good Hope Outlaws next Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Good Hope Raiders 30 (7-1), Cullman Cyclones 0 (4-4) (Pee-Wee)
The Raiders lead 8-0 at the half and they pulled away in the second half, shutting out the Cyclones. Good Hope’s playoff opponent for next week will be the Cullman Bearcats. The Cyclones finish off the season at 4-4 and will take on West Point at 10:30 a.m.
Vinemont 14 (7-1), Cullman Bearcats 12 (3-5) (Fireplug)
The Eagles finish off the regular season 7-1 after their close victory over the Bearcats. Their playoff opponent will be the Holly Pond Broncos; the game will start at noon.
Vinemont 6 (5-3), Cullman Bearcats 0 (4-4) (2OTs) (Wee-Wee)
It took double overtime to decide a winner in the wee-wee matchup. Both defenses dominated for four quarters, plus the first overtime period. But Vinemont, after stopping Cullman on the first series of the second overtime period, found the end zone on its series when Jaxon Morotz scored on a 7-yard run around the right side; the Eagles will face the Cullman Bearcats in the playoffs next Saturday at 3 p.m.
Cullman Bearcats 26 (7-1), Vinemont 0 (Pee-Wee)
Cullman finishes the day 2-1 after shutting out Vinemont; the Bearcats will take on the Raiders at 9 a.m. next Saturday.
West Point 22 (5-3), Cold Springs 6 (2-6) (Fireplug)
With their win over the Eagles in the fireplug game, West Point clinched a spot in the playoffs. The Warriors will face the Outlaws at 1:30 p.m.
West Point 6 (5-3), Cold Springs 0 (4-4) (Wee-Wee)
The Warriors scored the only touchdown of the contest, defeating Cold Springs in a close game.
West Point 48 (7-1), Cold Springs 0 (Pee-Wee)
The Warriors finished the regular season strong, dominating the Eagles on both sides of the ball in their shutout victory; they will take on the Cullman Cyclones at 10:30 a.m.
Good Hope Outlaws 36 (7-1), Holly Pond 20 (6-2) (Fireplug)
The Outlaws jumped out to a quick 36-8 lead behind three touchdowns by Bentlee Marlow and a touchdown each by Kamden Collins and Hunter Brown; they went on to take the game and will face the West Point Warriors at 1:30 p.m. next Saturday in the playoffs. The Broncos’ playoff opponent will be the Vinemont Eagles, which will start at noon.
Good Hope Outlaws 32 (7-1), Holly Pond 0 (0-8) (Wee-Wee)
The Outlaws finished the regular season strong, shutting out the Broncos; they will take on the Cyclones at 4:30 p.m.
Holly Pond 34 (5-3), Good Hope Outlaws 6 (3-5) (Pee-Wee)
The Broncos avoided the sweep, dominating the Outlaws from start to finish in their victory.
Hanceville 12 (2-6), Fairview 0 (1-7) (Fireplug)
The Bulldogs finished off the season with a shutout victory over the Aggies.
Hanceville 38 (2-6), Fairview 6 (3-5) (Wee-Wee)
Hanceville dominated the Aggies on both sides of the ball, rolling to an easy victory.
Fairview 24 (2-6), Hanceville 0 (1-7) (Pee-Wee)
The Aggies avoided the sweep for the day, shutting out the Bulldogs in the final game of the series.
