Stacie McCay (Cullman County Sheriff’s Office)
BREMEN – A Pinson woman was arrested at a traffic safety checkpoint in Cullman County Saturday when approximately 13 grams of methamphetamine were allegedly found in her vehicle.
Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies, along with agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), arrested Stacie Rene McCay, 41, for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a media release from the CCSO, deputies and CNET agents were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of County Road 222 and County Road 109 in Bremen during the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 15, when. McCay came through the safety checkpoint around 1 a.m.
“I am glad we were able to arrest this subject and seize the meth before it made it into our community. We randomly do crime suppression in certain areas of the county to target thieves, drug dealers, etc. as a tool in our arsenal against criminals,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to thank the deputies and agents for their long hours to get this meth off the streets.”
McCay has made bond.
