CULLMAN – Property owners older than 65 may qualify for extra savings on their property taxes. It is now time for annual registration for or renewal of homestead exemptions.
According to the Cullman County Revenue Commission, “Property owners over age 65 can qualify for an extra ad valorem tax discount on their owner-occupied homestead property, but they must register for this homestead exemption per Alabama law. To explain it all, Cullman’s Revenue Commissioner, Barry Willingham, is speaking at all area senior centers this fall.”
