CULLMAN – On Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 15-16, United Way of Cullman County (UWCC) will host a free tour of its community partners, open to any interested person or group in the community.
According to the UWCC, individuals and groups are invited to “Get on the Bus” or join in as their schedules allow on a tour of United Way partner programs.
“Guests on the tour have the opportunity to see first-hand how their United Way donation is making a difference and also learn about the needs in the community. Tours generally last about 20 minutes and run from 8-11:15 a.m. The bus will depart from United Way at 8 am and return each day around 11:15. Following the site visits, United Way will host a light lunch and agencies not on the tour will share highlights of their programs at the United Way office located in the Train Depot, 304 First Ave. NE The program will conclude at 2 p.m. each day.”
"Having the opportunity to go on an agency tour with United Way was emotional, rewarding and inspiring…knowing all the work that is happening in our very own community by these agencies and United Way leads you to want to do more, participate and be part of the change," said Brad Boshell, manager of Publix.
