LIMESTONE COUNTY – At approximately 12:50 p.m., Alabama State Troopers were notified about a vehicle pursuit on I-65 South near the Tennessee River Bridge. The vehicle crashed on the bridge and the driver, a white female, fled on foot. A white male was apprehended at the scene by Alabama State Troopers and turned over to Decatur Police. ALEA aviation, Alabama State Troopers, Limestone County Sheriff’s deputies and Decatur Police are on scene searching for the female.
State Troopers are working the crash; there were no injuries.
I-65 southbound between I-565 and the river bridge is congested, but is moving slowly.
Nothing further is available from the Alabama State Troopers.
