Cindy Hawkins, CRNP
CULLMAN – Cindy Hawkins, CRNP, has joined Cullman Regional Urgent Care staff. Hawkins is a certified family nurse practitioner as well as a certified clinical nurse specialist, board-certified in critical care. She is a graduate of Jacksonville State University and completed nurse practitioner school at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Hawkins is passionate about providing high quality, compassionate care to all of her patients.
“I am excited to be back in Cullman, and I hope to continue to provide care for the wonderful people of Cullman for many years,” Hawkins said.
Prior to joining Cullman Regional’s Urgent Care team, Hawkins served patients in various hospitals and primary care clinics in north Alabama for more than 20 years, including four years as the director of emergency department at Cullman Regional and four years in private practice in Cullman.
Hawkins will be seeing patients in the Cullman Regional Urgent Care Center located on the Cullman Regional campus. The facility is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. A unique feature of the Urgent Care Center is that patients can hold their place in line by visiting www.CullmanRegionalCheckIn.com.
The urgent care center treats all ages for non-emergency medical conditions such as:
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Headaches
- Cuts/abrasions
- Mild orthopedic injuries
- Hypertensive urgency
- Mild exacerbations of chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD and congestive heart failure
- Nausea/vomiting
The urgent care center also provides the following services:

- Insurance Wellness Screenings
- Drug Testing
- Physicals – DOT – coming soon

Hawkins and her husband Rick have one son and reside in Cullman. Hawkins is a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, participating in medical missions through Kenya Relief and spending time with family.
