CULLMAN – The Cullman County Animal Shelter’s Donna Ruttkay introduces us to The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week.
MacGyver is a hound/Anatolian Shepherd mix who’s around 1-year-old. He’s a laid-back, low-energy pet who could make a great therapy, service or comfort dog. He likes playing in the yard and is as industrious as his namesake, burying toys and treats for later enjoyment. He might get a little dirty while digging, but he enjoys bath time! MacGyver is very skilled on his leash and craves human company.
Ruttkay said that MacGyver’s an “all-round swell guy!”
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as special needs service dogs.
MacGyver’s adoption fee is $90, which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, neutering, microchip, free 45-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
