HARTSELLE – A Falkville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash at 2 a.m. Thursday morning, June 14, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Troopers said Phillip Wayne Penn, 60, was killed when the 2000 Jeep Wrangler he was driving left Alabama Highway 36 and struck a tree. The wreck happened at the 29 mile marker 6 miles east of Hartselle.
Penn, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers continue to investigate.
