CULLMAN – Wayne Cook, Director of the revived Cullman Community Theatre, has put out a request:

“Well the auditions have begun!  We have had some great talent come out. Our needs fall in the area of men and boys. Could you help motivate some men and boys to audition for this first show.  We originally said that we would do the first call back and makeup auditions on Monday, but we need to reschedule to Tuesday night at 6. Please pass the word that we will be doing additional auditions at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night at the civic center. Thanks!!!”

On June 1, Cook announced that Cullman Community Theatre would begin auditioning for its first  Musical Production, "The Music Man," on June 8 and 9 at the Cullman Civic Center.

This production and others to come from the theatrical group are open to all ages, and Cook has expressed his desire that entire families get involved together in this project.

Cullman Community Theatre is also looking for those interested in behind-the-scenes roles such as staging, costumes or tech. There will be interviews for these positions as well.

People coming to audition can bring a track for a vocal audition or simply sing "Happy Birthday."

“The Music Man” performances are scheduled for Aug. 17 and 18.
