CULLMAN – The newly-re-established Cullman Community Theatre (CCT) has announced audition dates for its first production. Auditions for “The Music Man” will be held June 8-9 at the Cullman Civic Center.
“We need all ages – young and old! (We) encourage families to get involved together in this much-loved classic presentation,” said CCT Director Wayne Cook.
“People can bring a track for a vocal audition or simply sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ Everyone is encouraged to come out, fill out the paperwork and have some time with the directors,” he shared.
Audition dates and times
- June 8: 5-7 p.m. at the Cullman Civic Center
- June 9: 10-noon at the Cullman Civic Center
“We will be doing call backs the following week for those who are being considered for lead parts,” said Cook. “We can do make-up auditions at this time through appointment. If someone needs to come during the call backs, they will need to email or call for audition information.”
He continued, “More information regarding how to be involved in community theatre will be available at these meetings. If someone is interested in a behind-the-scenes role – staging, costumes, tech – they may also attend the audition and indicate this information on their form. There will be interviews for these positions as well.”
Cook said the projected show performance dates are Aug. 17 and 18.
