FAIRVIEW – Fairview’s boys and Cold Springs’ girls took home first-place finishes at Tuesday’s Cullman County Track and Field Championship held at Fairview High’s Dafford Smith Stadium. The Cold Springs Lady Eagles finished just ahead of Fairview and Vinemont, while the Aggie boys held off Cold Springs and Hanceville.
Two West Point Warriors claimed Most Valuable Player honors: Sadie Junkins placed first in the 100 Meter Dash, 100 Meter Hurdles and 300 Meter Hurdles and finished second in the long jump, while Hunter Appling took gold in the 100 Meter Dash, 110 Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles and was on the first-place 4×100 Meter Relay team. Fairview’s Abby Schnittker was also recognized as an MVP, snagging first in the Triple Jump, Long Jump and High Jump. She also finished second in the 200 Meter Dash
