CULLMAN – Cullman’s annual citywide spring cleanup is next week, April 2-6. During spring cleanup, city sanitation will pick up large unwanted appliances, furniture, mattresses, etc. for customers at no extra charge.

This year’s haul may be bigger than usual considering the amount of damage from last week’s hail storm. Items like furniture, appliances and storm-damaged items are clear to be picked up, but items like construction materials (including shingles), rocks, dirt, bricks, concrete, tires or hazardous materials are prohibited.

The Cullman City Sanitation Department only asks that customers place their items to be picked up curbside Monday or Tuesday. The larger items placed on the curb may be picked up separately from regular trash.

Email CityHall@CullmanAL.gov for more information, or visit https://cullmanal.gov/event/city-wide-spring-cleanup/.

CULLMAN COUNTY SANITATION CUSTOMERS: Normally, during the month of May, all County Sanitation customers can haul one load of unwanted items to the Cullman County landfill for free.

The landfill's hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m.-noon. It is located at 2805 Alabama Highway 69, Cullman, AL 35057.
