WEST POINT – The West Point Intermediate School Scholars’ Bowl team ended its season by finishing in first place at the West Point High School Invitational on March 3. Despite being all fifth graders, the team won the Sixth-Grade Division of the tournament, defeating West Point Middle, East Elementary, Arab, and East Lawrence Middle Schools.
Since the team’s season is over, the members have "moved up" and have now joined the West Point Middle School team, which is going to compete in the Middle School National Championship Tournament in Chicago this May. This is the first time in the school's history that it will compete for the National Championship.
