Funeral services for Herman Albert “Sonny” Voigt Jr., 87, of Hanceville are Monday, February 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Pastor Sandy Niiler and Don Strandlund officiating, with interment in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation on Monday beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. Hanceville Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Voigt passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Albert Voigt Sr. and Dora Wamp Voigt; stepmother, Alma Voigt and grandsons, Herman C. Voigt and Phillip Michael Voigt. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Voigt; daughter, Connie (Woody) Jacobs; sons, Craig Voigt and Joe (Toni) Voigt; grandchildren, Melissa, Jill, Tyler and Hannah; great grandchildren, Michael, Caitlyn, Lana, Daisey, Ivan and James; sisters, Arlene Stuckey and Katherine (Leon) Waters; brother, Vic (Pat) Voigt; brother-in-law, Kelley (Peggy) Milam; special friend, Ann Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Kindred Hospice.
