Ruth Reichwein passed away on January 14, 2018 at the age of 80. Ruth was born in Cullman, AL on February 16,1937 to Albert Reichwein and Elfie (Livingston) Reichwein.
She graduated from Cullman High School, and then University of Alabama Tuscaloosa with a degree in accounting. She worked for many years as a CPA and private accountant in the Birmingham area and retired as a vice president from Floors, Inc. She served on the board of directors for St Anne's Home, and was an active Master Gardner and member of the Birmingham Fern Society and the Horticulture Study Club, and volunteer at Aldridge Botanical Gardens and Birmingham Botanical Gardens for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by many cousins including Linda Hale (Huntsville), Nancy Reichwein (Cullman), and Walter Reichwein (Cullman).
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with interment in Cullman City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moss Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
