Peter Alden Tackett, 76, of Good Hope, formerly of Mulvane, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018. "Pete" was a retired master sergeant of United States Air Force. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Pete was a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Alden Tackett Jr.; parents, Elvin and Ola Hitchcock Tackett; and brothers, Elvin "Jack", Billie Wayne, Bobby Lee, Paul Ray, and his twin brother, Richard Allen Tackett. Pete is survived by his wife of 55-and-a-half years, Rosalee "Rosie" Key Tackett; daughter, Hollie Tackett Criswell (Dan); son, James "Tack" Tackett (Kristy); and his grandchildren, Alex Criswell, Jillian Jonas, Emalie Lindsey, Rachel Criswell, Ashley David, Paige Tackett and Jamie Tackett.
The celebration of Pete's life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corinth Church of Christ, County Road 15, Bremen, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Moss Service Funeral Home directing.
