HANCEVILLE – The Evelyn Burrow Museum at Wallace State Community College is accepting reservations for a May 2018 tour of Germany and the Alps. The nine-night trip is scheduled for May 17-27, 2018, and includes stops in Rothenburg, Munich, Lucerne, Salzburg, Heidelberg and more.

“This will be a wonderful trip for area residents who may want to explore their German heritage or anyone who would like to learn more about Germany and Switzerland, and is a great educational opportunity for area students,” said Kristen Holmes, Burrow Museum Administrator. “Plus, the average high temperature for Munich in May is about 64 degrees, so it will be a great escape from the hot, humid weather in the South.”

The trip includes a guided tour of Rothenburg, Germany, a Bavarian dinner to sightseeing in Munich, a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle, a dinner in the Swiss Alps, sightseeing in Lucerne and Heidelberg, and more.

Cost of the tour is $3,965 or $4,280 for those 30 and older. The cost of the trip includes roundtrip airfare, accommodations, on-tour transportation, regional meals, full-time tour director, expert local guides, guided sightseeing and admission to attractions include in the itinerary.

Two optional excursions are offered. One is offered on day five of the trip, with a full-day excursion by train to Salzburg. The second is a two-day extension of the trip that includes a Rhine River cruise, tour of the Cologne Cathedral and a group dinner.
