FAIRVIEW – It was all Good Hope as the Raiders invaded Joe Shults Gymnasium on the campus of Fairview High School Tuesday night.
In a fast and furious first, the Aggies kept it close in the early going but it soon got out of hand as Good Hope ended the quarter on a 15-2 run to take A 23-9 lead after one.
Play got chippy in the second when, after a Raider foul, Conner Guthrie of Fairview got tagged with a technical foul. With two shots and the ball, Good Hope fed on the momentum, continuing to pull away for a 42-25 halftime advantage.
The Raiders opened the second half with a 14-2 run on the strength of back-to-back-to-back 3-point buckets by Noah Findley. It was enough to prompt a Fairview timeout, but it could not slow down the Raiders, who pushed the advantage to 31; the fourth was played with a hot clock.
Good Hope took the win over the Aggies, 70-44.
